LGRIG® W Fenders, also known as W-Shape Rubber Fender, W Type Fenders.
W Fenders have a unique open bore design that makes installation very simple, with flexible legs allowing them to be curved around most hull shapes. W-Shape Rubber Fender has been developed for use as push-pads for tugs and is also ideal for protecting the berthing section of a pontoon or bridge piles.
W Type Fenders typically require professional installation due to their complex stress distribution patterns, but their specialized design offers excellent long-term performance in demanding environments.
W Fenders are engineered for use in the most extreme conditions and are able to absorb extreme bumps and knocks, making them very suitable for application on the bow and stern of tugs, workboats, and icebreakers.
The grooves on the top of the W-Shape Rubber Fender offer additional grip and low pressure while pushing, and with the help of its two flexible legs, the design allows easy installation even with large or small radii by means of guide rods.
W Type Fenders are made from extremely durable rubber, with lengths shorter than 2000 mm produced by compression molding, and the most commonly used dimensions are usually kept in stock for short delivery times.
W fenders are relatively easy to install, with attachment often performed using fixing pins that pass through standard holes, and they are offered in different lengths that can be cut at specified angles, with additional openings for support strips available for lengths over one meter.
W-Shape Rubber Fender is installed on the bow and aft portion of ocean-going tugs to protect the hull against damage during pushing and pulling operations, with 50% design compressive deflection to effectively buffer collisions between docks and ships.
These W fenders have high energy absorption and low reaction force, installed on ship front areas to protect vessels during berthing, and we can customize marine fenders in accordance with your special requirements for performance and specifications.
