LGRIG® Stainless Pulleys — MULTIPLY FORCE. MINIMIZE EFFORT.
From single sheave simplicity to four-wheel mechanical advantage, LGRIG® stainless steel pulleys transform raw pulling power into effortless lifting. Engineered from premium stainless steel, our pulleys deliver corrosion resistance, rust-proof durability, and long-lasting reliability in the harshest marine and industrial environments.
The principle is timeless: loop your rope around the sheave, and each additional wheel multiplies your force while reducing the pull required. Need a straightforward lift? Our Single Wheel Pulleys offer simple, dependable redirection.
Want to cut your effort in half? Double Wheel Pulleys wrap the rope for balanced support at both ends. For maximum mechanical advantage, Four Wheel Pulleys distribute weight across four rope segments, requiring just one-quarter of the force. Every block features a side-opening design for quick rope insertion without disconnecting the load.
Available in standard and custom sizes, our pulley range includes Swivel Eye Pulleys, Shackle Pulleys, Snatch Blocks, and Trawling Pulleys — all built for yacht rigging, industrial hoisting, architectural tension systems, and commercial fishing operations.
Choose LGRIG® — where stainless steel and smart mechanics make heavy lifting light work.
With regard to choosing the size of the pulley, the diameter of the rope determines the size of the pulley that is suitable for the application. For example, a 7x7 cable should use a wheel diameter at least 40 times that of the cable, a 7x19 cable should use a wheel diameter at least 25 times that of the cable, and a 7x49 is recommended to use 15 times that of the cable.
In general, the more flexible the cable, the smaller the recommended wheel diameter to extend the life of the cable.
A smaller pulley will wear out the cable more quickly and a larger pulley may be too large. As the remaining disadvantages of using a pulley larger than the recommended size are mainly a matter of cost, designers should use the largest size pulley appropriate for the particular application.
Stainless Steel Pulleys are available in a variety of models, from single wheels to 4 wheels. if you want to use a single wheel pulley and a rope to lift a weight to a certain height, you have to pull the other end of the rope down. If you use a double wheels pulley and wrap the rope around it, you can reduce the force required to lift the weight. This is because in this case the pressure is fully supported by the same rope at both ends through the pulley. The four wheels pulley takes advantage of its mechanical advantage, each part of the rope can support 1/4 of the total weight and requires 1/4 of the force to pull, which is less effort than the double wheels pulley.
Pulleys, despite their long history, are known for their role and function and are still essential tool in contemporary society. Modern technology has led to advances in materials and manufacturing techniques, resulting in a wide range of stainless steel pulleys.
Stainless Steel Pulleys combine the benefits of corrosion resistance, rust resistance, durability, longevity and reliability.
