LGRIG® Thimble D Type with Ear Galvanized FOOTROPE GEAR

LGRIG® Thimble D Type with Ear Galvanized FOOTROPE GEAR, also known as Wire Course, or Course.

LGRIG® Thimble D Type Galvanized, Engineered for durability and reliability, the LGRIG® D‑Type Galvanized Thimble is a premium wire rope termination accessory designed to extend rope life and maintain system integrity under heavy loads.

To minimise abrasion and premature wear, two protective sleeves are welded securely at the open ends of the thimble, effectively shielding the rope from contact with sharp edges. Furthermore, the connection point where the two legs of the thimble meet is reinforced with a robust weld, adding extra strength and rigidity to the entire assembly.

Installation is straightforward: simply loop the wire rope around the outer groove and fasten it with a ferrule or standard wire rope grips. The thimble's precise geometry – featuring accurate alignment, crack‑free outer edges, and carefully contoured grooves – ensures that the wire seats perfectly within the groove, reducing stress concentrations and slippage.

Constructed from high‑quality steel, this thimble provides dependable protection for the wire even at maximum pulling force, while the superior hot‑dip galvanized finish offers outstanding corrosion resistance, making it suitable for demanding marine, industrial, and outdoor applications.
