Marlin Spikes for Wire Rope & Synthetic Rope LG RIGGING®, also known as splice spike or rope splicing fid/tool, widely used in the field of fishing and trawling gear.
Marlin Spikes for Wire Rope & Synthetic Rope, manufactured from super carbon steel, are tools used in mining and marine rope work.
The marlin spike is shaped in the form of a metal cone and tapered to a rounded or flattened point. The handle is machined into a ball to facilitate ease of use and ensure a comfortable grip.
Traditional steel splicing tool helps separate strands while splicing. Insert the tool into the braid to lever it open. Can also used to work apart tightened knots.
